Hey, just a quick note about how I use AI in my writing.
Everything I write is based on my own thoughts, research, and experiences. That said, I do lean on tools like ChatGPT, Grammarly, and Copilot from time to time, just to help smooth things out or clean up a final draft.
Specifically, I mainly use these tools as a kind of sounding board. They help me create outlines, spot weak spots in my discussion, clear up any confusing parts, and make sure I’m getting my point across.
Regarding photography, I typically use my own photos or credit other photographers. While I may sometimes turn to AI for images, it’s not something I rely on often, particularly for my travel articles.
Furthermore, I utilize AI tools for spelling and grammar checks and to find alternatives when I notice I’m using the same words too often. It helps me keep my writing varied and engaging.
Just to be clear: the ideas and voice you see here are 100% mine. I just use AI as a tool to help me express things more clearly and accurately.
Ultimately, my aim is to create something engaging, authentic, thoughtful, and reflective of my own point of view.
AI is here to stay. Let’s embrace it’s technology to become better writers.
Great you've outlined your AI policy Laura. I still have to do one.
I’m wondering what made you feel it necessary to divulge your use of AI publicly?
