As an avid traveler, I've explored various corners of the globe, from bustling cities to serene beaches. Yet, there's one destination that continuously beckons me back – Australia. With its breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, vibrant cities, and rich culture, there are countless reasons why Australia should be your next vacation destination.
You’ve nailed it! Talk about adventure, my daughter did the sky way over the rainforest, helped the crew on a sailboat to Green Island for snorkeling and has pics from the amazing wild life preserves in Cairn. It was fall break for students in Gold Coast towns. …. Like spring breakers in Florida! 😅 Great fun and new friends everywhere I went! Reading your travels to all areas of the country makes me eager to
get back. Long flights are not that bad once you’ve booked…you’re hooked! Arriving with the sunrise makes it so worthwhile.
Yes, it really is an amazing country! Now that I have seen most of it in my three trips, I will focus on specific areas for longer stays on my next trip. (PS. Perth and Cairns are high on the list although many friends are in Brisbane!)
Sometimes, we just have to "save the date", otherwise it gets shoved down the list of someday...
I'm excited for your upcoming trip! This list has inspired me to plan a trip there one day. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much. There will be more details coming for sure.
As an Aussie, couldn't agree more. After living abroad I've come to realise Australia has got some of the best weather in the world
Yes, most of the time.
It can have its moments like this year when a cyclone came to Brusbane. But for the most part, best weather.
Agreed!
Cross 'the ditch' and visit New Zealand as well. A slice of heaven waiting for you there.
Absolutely. My son is moving to NZ next year. It's been 39 years since I've been.
If I could remember all the details of my short visit, I'd write about it too. 🙂
I guess I'll just have to wait till my next visit. 2027 👍

One of my favorite countries in the world to visit and live in.
Yes, mine too!
Just finishing ten weeks and there is already thoughts of coming back next year for my 40th university reunion.
I love your description of the country! the farthest I have flown with 2 toddlers is Europe. I wonder how they'd do on a long haul flight like this!
I'm sure they will do better than you think. Break it up. Plan stopovers, bring toys, games and snacks.
And naps.
Oz is definitely on my list!
There's no better place on earth to live.
Yes, I can totally understand that.
My younger son spent a semester in Lismore. It is one of my life's regrets that I couldn't visit while he was there. Someday! Have a great trip!!
