The caves look really interesting. Reminds me a bit of the Yucatán cave and river system. Nice photos.

It really was a challenge deciding. Staying at the touristy pier did not appeal to us at all.

And the idea of a 90 minute ride to crowded waterfalls was not appealing either.

My daughter loved the caves.

As someone who used to live in Jamaica, I'd say you chose correctly between the caves and Dunn's River. The falls are super cluttered with tourists and long lineups. Plus....CAVES!

Falmouth really is one of the neatest places on the island (aside from the mega-development of the cruise ship area). They actually had running water before New York City even!

Probably the coolest thing I ever experienced in Falmouth was Glistening Waters. It's a nighttime boat tour and the water is full of phosphorous which makes it light up in green when you touch it or swim in it. Definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.
