Yes, the people were fantastic. I was looking to but a sweater so I went into a shop. The owner did not have the right size, (sweaters are hand-made) so she suggested another shop down the street with a wider selection. I was pleasantly surprised. In North America, it would have been SOL. I actually went back to that shop three times while I looked at other products. Friendly locals really do make a difference.
That’s wonderful. Yes unfortunately many shop employees don’t see that being nice even without a sale can bring people back. You also did better arriving by cruise because it’s a long trip to the airport!
