Loved the story of the past of Tulloch Castle even though it was a tragic event. How did you discover this part of Scotland and what made you visit this particular Castle?

We initially planned to go to the Orkneys so we were looking at accommodation between Inverness and Thurso. Then my husband decided that at some point during our trip, he wanted to stay in a castle. (We are Lord and Lady by ancestral heritage, after all.) Tulloch was in the right location and the available dates aligned with our itinerary. Well worth the price!

Once day, I will share the story of family heritage. Its not all that important in the modern world but it is ancestry, nonetheless.

No, we did not go to the Orkneys this trip. Being in October, the ferry times did not coordinate with our timeline without considerable delays and additional overnight stays. Perhaps, next time.

It was fabulous.

This whole 18 day trip was fantastic!

Castles, whiskey, and seeing family.

Another trip is already in the thought process.
